Our fractured teeth/abscessed teeth treatment addresses two main types of fractures. Uncomplicated fractures leave the pulp chamber, which houses the tooth’s nerves and vessels, unexposed. Complicated fractures, however, expose this pulp chamber.
Sometimes, this is obvious on an awake exam. Other times, our veterinarians diagnose pulp exposure while the patient is under general anesthesia, using a dental explorer instrument to check further. Left untreated, both types can lead to serious infection, so prompt fractured teeth/abscessed teeth treatment matters for your pet’s comfort and health.
