AWCB Appointment Policies

We, at Animal Wellness Center of Bonita, understand that sometimes you need to cancel or reschedule your pet’s appointment. In order for AWCB to help as many pet’s in need of our services, we require appointments you are unable to make to be cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment.

A veterinary/client relationship is built on mutual trust and respect. As such, we strive to be on time for your scheduled appointments and request that you kindly alert us if you’re unable to keep your pet’s appointment.  As a courtesy, we provide reminder texts before your appointment.

Please review our appointment policies outlined below:

New Client Scheduling:

At the time of scheduling your pet/pets appointment, the examination fee for each pet will be due and applied to your account as a credit card deposit to be used at the time of the initial booking.  In the event the appointment needs to be rescheduled 48 hours prior to the initial appointment time, the deposit will apply to the reschedule appointment.  In the event of a no-show, 10 minutes late or cancellation 48 hours ahead of the scheduled appointment time, the deposit is non-refundable.

Late Arrival Policy:

We make every effort to be on time for all our appointments. Unfortunately, when even one patient arrives late, it can throw off the entire schedule for that day and inhibit our ability to  provide optimal care.  Therefore, a client that arrives ≥10 minutes late to their scheduled appointment without alerting us will need to be rescheduled. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.

Cancellation of an Appointment:

In order to be respectful of the medical needs of other patients, please be courteous and call our office promptly if you are unable to show up for an appointment. If it is necessary to cancel your scheduled appointment, we require that you call at least 48 hours in advance. Appointments are in high demand, and your early cancellation will allow another patient access to timely veterinary care. If it is after hours, please leave a voicemail, email or send a text via Pet Desk app. If a second cancellation occurs outside the 48 hour window, to reschedule you will be required to leave a deposit equal to the examination fee that will be applied to your account to be used at time of service.  If the appointment is rescheduled before 48 hours, the deposit can be used for the rescheduled time. If the appointment is cancelled after 48 hours,  the deposit is forfeited.

Appointment No Show Policy:

A “no show” is a client who misses an appointment without cancelling it. The first time there is a “no show”, we will contact you to inform you of the missed appointment, remind you of our “no show” policy and reschedule the appointment. If a second “no show” occurs, to reschedule you will be required to leave a deposit equal to the examination fee that will be applied to your account to be used at time of service. If the appointment is cancelled after 48 hours or there is another “no show”, the deposit is forfeited.

We appreciate your patience, understanding and support in these trying times and want to do all we can to serve the needs of your pet and the pets in need in our community.

You are encouraged to always bring a fresh stool sample (dogs and cats), a fresh urine sample (dogs and those amazing cat owners) and, if possible, fast your pet for 8 hours to your pet’s appointment
