Palliative & End-of-Life Care

The thought of saying goodbye to our beloved furry family member is not something any of us want to think about. Unfortunately, our pets simply don’t live as long as we do. This can seem hard to digest when we receive bad news about our pets’ health condition. AWCB is committed to helping you and your pet live the happiest, healthiest life together for as long as possible. Our doctors and staff will thoroughly go over your pet’s condition and explain what can be done to help keep them happy and comfortable until their body has reached it’s limit. We are committed to providing quality hospice and palliative care to your beloved pet when they reach the end-of-life stage.

When that time comes, our team will be right by your side helping you make decisions for their final arrangements. Humane euthanasia is part of our career, sometimes daily. That does not mean that our staff becomes immune to the feelings of each and every patient’s family. We’ve all been in your shoes, making decisions we hate to have to make. We hate it just as much as you do.

Grieving the loss of a pet is often the hardest part of being a pet owner. It is important to be aware that people will respond to the stress of this loss in a variety of different ways. Animal Wellness Center of Bonita understands that.

If you have specific questions or concerns about euthanasia or you would like more information regarding the diagnosis or treatment of your pet’s disease, please contact our veterinarians.

Pet loss can be very challenging, and there are pet loss support groups available throughout the country. Please feel free to ask our staff for a referral.
